*Surprisingly* liked this one!
I really wanted to end up being on team sardine, but it was not meant to be. I can’t wait to see what everyone thought this week! I think this is going to be a fun one…
Team Sardine? I’m definitely playing and loving it…
(Post will be live after midnight EDT)
Gee whiz and gosh dang it- i did it!
I can’t believe we kind of liked it. Go Dorie !
Made this way back in Nov 2011 for the free-choice week and some of you already seen it. Love it but I love sardines, canned or fresh. :)
A salute to all of you who could find a “table of tasters”……….
The sardine lovers int he family were thrilled. The non-sardine lover thought it was ok. http://lyabroudy.blogspot.com/2012/04/sardine-rillettes-french-fridays-wdorie.html
I tried…(really!) but I failed :( However, the canned salmon rillettes I wound up with was pretty good! http://www.jemangelaville.com/2012/04/12/ffwd-almost-sardine-rillettes/
This one turned out to be much ado about nothing…
I tried, I really did!
Hmm, not as disgusting as I thought.
Rillettes have been made in France since the 14th century…
I liked it a lot, but I do love all kinds of fish.
Add another convert to the list, Mrs. Greenspan!
Couldn’t do it. http://dammititsfrench.blogspot.com/2012/04/french-fridays-with-dorie-sardine.html
I really love this one!
The title says it all
Definitely a mixed review at my house.
I had no idea the trauma you suffered in the name of sardines! Yikes is right. Nice of you to still hang in there and blog. I hope coconut is kinder next week.
I may be in the minority, but I liked this…mine was stuffed in tomatoes :)
I’m glad I tried this, but I wasn’t a fan
Not so much for me!
Easy, tasty, and a fun way to use Sardines!
I think this is a good week to share my cheese souffle from March! The sardine rillettes sound pretty good though;-)
I am so glad I tried this recipe-it is fabulous and I will definitely be making it all summer long to take along on picnics and concerts or just have with a glass of wine in the backyard garden !
Will have to do these avec sardines when my dad visits next month! http://missblossombakes.wordpress.com
Interesting, I liked it, hubby did not!
Knew this one would not be my thing…
A poor man’s tuna fish salad? Don’t know why I think that….
I now understand the appeal of sardine sandwiches. These rillettes are good. http://onewetfoot.com/2012/04/13/ffwd-sardine-rillettes/
Not exactly the most photogenic little creatures, are they? :) But yummy, yummy!
A big hit!
Still in shock to find out I like Sardines! Glad I didn’t get the ones with the skin & bones, this was strong enough!
I couldn’t comment on yours this week :-(
Loved your post – you crack me up.
I was really surprised by who liked this in our house.
Better late than never, right? Look forward to reading through everyone’s posts.
Once again late to the party with this one. Personally, I like them right out of the can better.
I know I am in the minority, but I love sardines
