This was the first recipe I have cooked from this fantastic book. The stew had a wonderful flavor and got rid of all my preconceived notions about lamb. It was mild and my kids loved it. I did find the recipe a bit disorganized and lacking in instruction to utilize the fond, so I completely re worked it and will be featuring my version next week on my Foodie Friday party. So glad to have found this cookbook and this group.
Loved it – stew is stew :)
We enjoyed this so much.
We went for a beef version & a couple of other change ups, which was a hit… It’s been pretty cold up here, so the whole stew thing still works…
Have a great weekend!
this was soooo goood!!
Yummy! Even the picky boy declared that this was good (except for the turnip).
Liked this one well enough….
I’m still not convinced that this qualifies as spring food, but my husband certainly enjoyed it…
I enjoyed making this dinner. Love lamb. BUT, I am happy to move into May. April was a bit rugged with some of those recipes. Character building, I guess.
Another great recipe for a week night dinner!!!
I loved it even though it was too hot outside for stew!
We can’t get enough lamb and we all enjoyed this one!
Very very much!!!
So good to see everyone’s links! Something must have been wrong with the site earlier?
Delicious. I will add the veggies in the last 20 minutes of cooking next time — my turnips and onions seemed to disappear. :)
My turnips did the same thing! I thing I chopped mine too small, as well. Still wonderful though! :)
This is a one dish meal classic lamb stew that is packed with flavors . Love it ! Have a great weekend to all :)
Woo hoo, it is working again.
This was absolutely delicious and in the words of my husband “a keeper”!
Despite an unfortunate shopping incident, this was a winner. Yum!
On hold for this one. I didn’t read ahead in the recipe selections and had made the beef version of this last week. Oh well, I’ll catch up later. http://missblossombakes.wordpress.com
It’s still chilly enough for lamb stew but life got into the way of procuring lamb. Did a retrospective of my FFwD experience since the very beginning instead. A present for myself that I can hold in my hands!
Glad we’re up and running!
Here’s mine! http://www.jemangelaville.com/2012/04/26/ffwd-navarin-printanier/
And we just had it for dinner…delicious!
After some trouble login in, here´s mine.
I loved it!
So very, very good! Lots of delicious flavor! The onions should be added closer to the end of cooking. Otherwise, a perfect stew!!!
Navarin Printanier – a wonderful recipe for a French Lamb Stew with Vegetables!
Hm. I’m not sure what happened, but I was not a huge fan.
Wow, could not get this posted yesterday. But here it is – I loved it. The rest of the family was so-so.
Apparently my link didn’t load yesterday. I must be losing all my basic computer skills!!
The lamb stew was a big hit, even without the tomato paste and turnip!
Nephew asked for this dish again, soon, and not to change a thing!
I decided to use this as a catch-up week, but I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else thought of the dish! http://www.joracooks.blogspot.com/2012/04/ffwd-catch-up-quiche-and-batons.html
Trying one more time to leave my link.
We loved this! Posting a bit late this week: http://www.createamazingmeals.com/2012/04/navarin-printanier-spring-lamb-stew.html
Hope I can leave my link now…had issues when I tried last week! Apparently WordPress felt I needed to slow down, I was commenting too quickly?!
Loved the stew:-)
Only a couple days late this time. I need a fancy name to enjoy stew. Here’s why:
Another keeper! Just getting started and posting late on this one, but on time for the flounder. Will work to stay on schedule in future!
Finally catching up on this one. It was a huge hit with my family.
