This was the first recipe I have cooked from this fantastic book. The stew had a wonderful flavor and got rid of all my preconceived notions about lamb. It was mild and my kids loved it. I did find the recipe a bit disorganized and lacking in instruction to utilize the fond, so I completely re worked it and will be featuring my version next week on my Foodie Friday party. So glad to have found this cookbook and this group.

We went for a beef version & a couple of other change ups, which was a hit… It’s been pretty cold up here, so the whole stew thing still works…

Yummy! Even the picky boy declared that this was good (except for the turnip).

I’m still not convinced that this qualifies as spring food, but my husband certainly enjoyed it…

I enjoyed making this dinner. Love lamb. BUT, I am happy to move into May. April was a bit rugged with some of those recipes. Character building, I guess.

So good to see everyone’s links! Something must have been wrong with the site earlier?

Delicious. I will add the veggies in the last 20 minutes of cooking next time — my turnips and onions seemed to disappear. :)

My turnips did the same thing! I thing I chopped mine too small, as well. Still wonderful though! :)

On hold for this one. I didn’t read ahead in the recipe selections and had made the beef version of this last week. Oh well, I’ll catch up later. http://missblossombakes.wordpress.com

It’s still chilly enough for lamb stew but life got into the way of procuring lamb. Did a retrospective of my FFwD experience since the very beginning instead. A present for myself that I can hold in my hands!

So very, very good! Lots of delicious flavor! The onions should be added closer to the end of cooking. Otherwise, a perfect stew!!!
