This was the first recipe I have cooked from this fantastic book. The stew had a wonderful flavor and got rid of all my preconceived notions about lamb. It was mild and my kids loved it. I did find the recipe a bit disorganized and lacking in instruction to utilize the fond, so I completely re worked it and will be featuring my version next week on my Foodie Friday party. So glad to have found this cookbook and this group.

We went for a beef version & a couple of other change ups, which was a hit… It’s been pretty cold up here, so the whole stew thing still works…
So delicious!!!

I enjoyed making this dinner. Love lamb. BUT, I am happy to move into May. April was a bit rugged with some of those recipes. Character building, I guess.

Delicious. I will add the veggies in the last 20 minutes of cooking next time — my turnips and onions seemed to disappear. :)

My turnips did the same thing! I thing I chopped mine too small, as well. Still wonderful though! :)
This is a one dish meal classic lamb stew that is packed with flavors . Love it ! Have a great weekend to all :)

On hold for this one. I didn’t read ahead in the recipe selections and had made the beef version of this last week. Oh well, I’ll catch up later. http://missblossombakes.wordpress.com
It’s still chilly enough for lamb stew but life got into the way of procuring lamb. Did a retrospective of my FFwD experience since the very beginning instead. A present for myself that I can hold in my hands!

So very, very good! Lots of delicious flavor! The onions should be added closer to the end of cooking. Otherwise, a perfect stew!!!

Nephew asked for this dish again, soon, and not to change a thing!

I decided to use this as a catch-up week, but I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else thought of the dish! http://www.joracooks.blogspot.com/2012/04/ffwd-catch-up-quiche-and-batons.html
