September Nominations

September always seems like a new beginning with back to school (even though I’m no longer in school) and the coming of fall.  What recipes should we try as the temperatures cool off?

Leave your nominations here until Friday August 24, and we’ll let you know what’s on deck for September next weekend.

Forgive me if I suggest things already made. I checked the list on this site, so if I am off I was just thinking that we should do something with lots of veggies at the being of the month and move into apples and squash.

    Seafood pot-au-feu page 308

Chicken, apples and cream a la normande page 218

Beatrix Red Kuri Soup page 78

    Here are my suggestions:

Eggplant “Tartine” wiht Tomatoes, Olives, and Cucumbers (144-5)
    Quiche Maraîchère (p. 158)
Endives, Apples, and Grapes (p. 338)
    Crispy, Crackly Apple-Almond Tart (458-9)

Also, is next week’s recipe our 100th? I’d love to see a little shout out to those who’ve done all of them (which I certainly haven’t managed!).

I would be perfectly happy with all of Teresa’s suggestions – they were all on my “want to make soon” list.

And yay for 100 recipes!!! I’ve made them all. Well, when I make the peach melba this afternoon I will have!
