Here’s the lineup for September:
September 7, 2012: eggplant “tartine” with tomatoes, olives, and cucumbers (p. 144-145)
September 14, 2012: spiced-poached apples or pears (p.396)
September 21, 2012: chicken basquaise (p. 210)
September 28, 2012: endives, apples, and grapes (p. 338)


I’m pretty excited that all of these recipes seem straightforward and simple enough for me to manage from my very basic hotel kitchen, while we look for a home in Napoli. What I wouldn’t give for my big cutting board and a few spices right now.
Can’t wait to make the spiced poached apples , yum!
