The stewed prunes were my favorite part of the dish…
I agree! We felt they really added a nice touch.
Whoops, in my determination to go out on a Limb here (which I am not prone to do), I was going to go with Dates. Now, after Cher’s and Karen’s comments, I second-guessing myself (which is the story of my Life). Help.
I say do dates AND prunes. What could be wrong with that?
I´ve been eating this for two days now, and agree with Cher on the prunes. I find it´s great the way it´s in the book! But next time will add apricots too
I’m going with dried apricots instead of prunes. Husband refuses to consider eating prunes. I suggested dates, and he countered with apricots. Also, no onions. He won’t even let those into the house (but I’m copacetic with that). I’m getting curious as to how this will turn out!
Me too.
