Love-ly.

I thought that my son was going to lick his plate.

Loved the flavors, just need to work on my technique.
We liked this much better have a few days in the fridge.

I made one for my #Sunday Supper post if you care to take a peek (but it’s not Dorie’s recipe):

Not heart shaped, but very nice! http://4pure.nl/page2/index.php
I did not make the coeur, but I did catch up on some other recipes and one we haven’t done yet.

Tasted good, looked terrible. Witness my Valentine’s Day failure here:

Instead of a French Fridays today, I have a goodbye to a sweet & fuzzy friend: http://www.jemangelaville.com/2013/02/14/chelsea/ :(
I thought this was OK, but my valentine didn’t like it (of course)… It was very pretty, in any case.

This inspired a story to long for haiku. I hate this dessert.

The jury is still out because we’ve yet to taste the real deal but I certainly have eaten many spoonfuls of batter and it’s delicious. The raspberry coulis (Dorie’s recipe) is perfect with it, don’t you think? I added so sugar (just framboise, of course).
Hoping your Valentine’s Day, worldwide, was special and that we also remember to salute some fine Presidents during this special holiday week-end in the USA).
