A Word from Laurie…

 
 
Good Morning Everyone,

Betsy, Mary and I have great news to share with you.

Although we still have 60-some recipes left in Around My French Table that we will finish around April 2015, French Fridays with Dorie will live on to cook another book.

After Dorie announced that her latest book, Baking Chez Moi , will roll out in October 2014, we began chatting with her about carrying on the French Fridays tradition. Since she has explained this cookbook is carrying on her Paris kitchen tradition, we thought it would be a perfect fit as did Dorie.

To say that she and Rux Martin, her editor at Houghton Mifflin, are thrilled is an understatement. And, in fact, Dorie already has offered us her Chez Moi’s artwork and Laurie is currently talking to her website team about re-vamping and updating our French Fridays site.

We will keep you updated on the details as we move along. Your administrators have some surprises and fun in the works.

    Best news ever! Glad others liked the idea too! Hope we can start with 1x post a month in October – I don’t think I can wait until after we’ve finished AMFT to begin :)

    I am so excited to hear of the new book! As one of the Tuesdays withe Dorie bakers, I baked through everything in Baking from My Home to Yours. I admire you all for cooking through AMFT–I’ve happily prepared many of those recipes, but it turns out I’m really a baker at heart rather than a cook! I hope to rejoin you when Dorie’s Baking Chez Moi comes out in October. Yayy!!

      I am the opposite, more of a cook than a baker, but I love Dorie and my on-line friends, so I’ll stay on board for the new book. Can’t wait to cook with you, Peggy!

      Yes! I cannot wait for the new book. Nothing makes me happier than baking with my boys on a Sunday morning. :)
