I am hoping, seriously hoping I can fit the chicken in this weekend. I’ve been wanting to try it since I opened the book!
Leave your links, folks!

Pumpkin gorgonzola flans! I just couldn’t wait until Thanksgiving for these.
Post will be up after midnight…
Roast chicken for me this week, just the way I like it:
I made roast chicken as well. Finally a juicy roast chicken that I do not need to seperate the skin from breast meat and massage it with herb butter. Chicken was quite tasty but can’t say the same about the bread.
Link will be up midnight eastern time.
Potato gratin this week – delightful!
Potatoes gratin. Better each time I made them.
Caramel-topped semolina cake for me this week. I quite enjoyed it!
The semolina cake–I absolutely loved this one! (up after midnight…)
Potato gratin this week!
I chose the Semolina cake this week….I truly enjoyed this one!
The flans weren’t to our taste, but they were easy and pretty, so I would still recommend them to people who might like the taste combo more. Post will be up after midnight: http://www.momfoodproject.com/2010/11/12/french-fridays-with-dorie-pumpkin-gorgonzola-flans/
Boy did this roast chicken make my house smell divine!!! It was delicious!
Loved the chicken, adored the bread!
Caramel-Topped Semolina Cake.
Cream of Wheat + Caramel = Love.
Caramel-Topped Semolina Cake.
I made the lazy people chicken, my favorite kind of recipe! It turned out well – very moist, but perhaps not as flavorful as I was expecting. My bread was soggy too. It has made for delicious chicken sandwiches for lunch! http://thisfoodismyjam.blogspot.com/2010/11/ffwd-roast-chicken-for-les-paresseux.html
Delicious, easy, satisfying! So easy and 8 year old can make it!
How wonderful to have a meal that celebrates a lazy afternoon. http://justbringwine.blogspot.com
Roast chicken from moi.
My new best friend: Roast Chicken for Les Paresseux.
The chicken was easy, juicy, and turned out to be a very special dish…one that I will re-create again this weekend for our house guests. An entire delicious meal is roasted in very little time…I’ll have time to relax with our company without needing to spend hours in the kitchen. I guess I can just be lazy!
Pumpkin Gorgonzola Flans this week. OK, when do we start with the difficult recipes. The book does mention something about “French,” after all :). Just kidding, of course. I love simple but amazing recipes like this!
Those crispy, rich confit of baguette melted in my mouth like nothing I can remember in recent years. Les Paresseux Roast Chicken is a keeper. http://thescreenporch.blogspot.com/2010/11/roast-chicken-for-les-paresseuxfrench.html
My scrambled hens ran and hid when they heard how easy this chicken was to make. :) Delicious!
This week I made the Potatoes Gratin for a French potluck! http://lifeinaloafpan.blogspot.com/2010/11/ffwd-7-potatos-gratin.html
Made the roast chickenthis week. Can’t wait to make it again!

Lazy roast chicken…even with a few mishaps, it turned out beautifully.
Here chickie, chickie…
It’s the chicken! Definitely a repeat. Here’s my post: http://grandmaskitchentable.typepad.com/grandmas_kitchen_table/2010/11/french-fridays-with-dorie-roast-chicken-for-les-paresseux.html
The potato gratin was to die for. So rich, and, oh, so good!
Hello. I was really surprised by this one!
A personal fail. *sigh*
Perhaps the first brussel sprouts I have ever enjoyed.
I’ve trued these, too. I still don’t like brusells sprouts, though. Leftovers were great in tortillas.
I need coffee. That’s brussels sprouts.
Roast chicken, and I made Potato Rosemary Rolls, as well!
Pumpkin Gorgonzola Flan…
Idaho Potatoes over here!!!
I made the Potato Gratin – very taste. Note Gruyere is hard to find in small town WI!!
It should be illegal it is so good.
I made the roast chicken for les parreseux! It’s the first time there has ever been a savory dish on my blog. It’s strange seeing a chicken instead of a chocolate! :)
My 1st roast bird! And it is super tasty! Will make this again.
I made the potato gratin for dinner on Wednesday, 11/10
I made the Pumpkin Gorgonzola Flans…did not get the reaction I was expecting from the hubby & son. My post also shows just how many pictures I take for one blog post! (Well, almost!!)
It was Roast Chicken for Les Paresseux for me! It was truly delicious. Yes I had a black bottomed pan but that certainly did not mean disaster! The chicken was moist and flavorful. This is a keeper recipe and goes on the rotation!
Roast Chicken for Les Paresseux – so yummy! :)
After hearing Dorie on “All Things Considered” last friday I had to do the pumpkin:
Patience is a virtue.
Especially with caramel topped semolina cake!
Hi, Elaine! Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I love your idea of using tart cherries and I will have to look for brown farina and try that next time.
Potato Gratin…there should be a fight between macaroni and potato gratin to wear the Ultimate Comfort Food Crown…..
We devoured the potato gratin over here!
DO THE CHICKEN RECIPE!!! do yourself a favor and MAKE the time this weekend to make it. You’ll be so glad you did!!
this week – potato gratin … can’t wait!
pumpkin gorgonzola flan… not so much

I’m looking forward to the cake and the potatoes!!!
This week it is lazy chicken. And it was delicious.
I was present yesterday evening at my local bookstore where Ms. Greenspan gave a lovely talk about her experiences with French food. Thank you, Ms. Greenspan!
Here’s my Roast Chicken post:
Pommes dauphinois. Delicious!
Loved the potato gratin!
I baked my chicken roast twice , its so good that i still have to make it again, tried 2 different methods and paired it with the gratin the first time and Pumpkin flan the second , both rocked!!
Another terrific recipe from Dorie!
I posted early but am late with my link here!
I made the Caramel Topped Semolina Cake this week. It doesn’t look so great, but tastes delicious. http://lolasartisticendeavors.blogspot.com/frenchfridayswithdorie
The chicken! Randy put it best when he said, “This meal tastes like fall!”
later in the day than i’d hoped, but here’s my pumpkin flan!
Running late Doristas! Had to give the pumpkin gorgonzola flan a try:
Trevor Sis. Boom.
I made the potato gratin this week. I added a sprig of rosemary in the garlic-infused cream and then I topped it with pancetta after it had cooked.
Here’s my photo(before adding the pancetta):
Thank you so much!
Pumpkin Flans this week-
super easy, super good!
Chicken was wonderful and I loved the bread and chicken liver.
I’m posting the Caramel Topped Semolina Cake this week. Another unique Dorie treat! I made it, the roast chicken and the pumpkin flan all last weekend so I’m “ahead” for the month…I plan on doing the potato gratin tomorrow to serve with PW’s BBQ Meatballs. Dinner for a friend who is coming to help me organize my “barn”. I’ll be looking forward to December’s choices soon! Though I may have to do the chicken again before the month is over…just to see what happens to that lovely bread when you get the wine in on time!
The cake looks gorgeous! I’ll be making that and the chicken this week.
Thank you Deborah!
This one won our hearts:creamy, soft, with a nice hint of garlic and a wonderful golden crust of melted cheese. Not a spoonful was left.
My potato gratin. I am looking forward to trying it again!
Potato Gratin …
… I’d eaten plenty before but never tried making it … why didn’t anyone tell me it was that easy?
Loving everyone’s entries by the way. They look fab.
Caramel Semolina Cake – Who knew Cream of Wheat would make a delicious cake!

Pumpkin Gorgonzola Flans
A double…Roast Chicken and the Pumpkin-Gorgonzola flans…
Big hit with the chicken and the bread!! Not as big a hit with the flans…but not bad either!
How strange. I posted yesterday around 5:15pm PST and don’t see my post here. I made the Caramel Topped Semolina Cake.
I just can’t get over how much I’m enjoying this entire process! And reading everyone’s adventures!
I made the roast chicken for les paresseux. It turned out wonderful! I made some slight adjustments. Simple recipe.
This week was potato gratin. You really can’t go wrong with layers of potato and cream, but if it weren’t for this group, I never would have made this.
Roast chicken this week! Probably potatoes next. I learned all kinds of things with this recipe, some of which have absolutely nothing to do with chicken…
What might be the best potatoes in the world.
Third time’s the charm for me!
I made the Roast Chicken for Les Pareseux … this was one of the best tasting chickens I have ever made. It was so moist! Loved the bread trick…so tasty!
Potato Gratin – not my favorite recipe so far:
I got a twofer going: Chicken and Flans…but am late to the game (as usual)…
I made the gratin and ADORED it!
I made the Pumpkin Gorgonzola Flans but did not use the gorgonzola. These did not appeal to me. Would like to know how everyone felt about them.
I made the Roast Chicken this week. I didn’t do the bread trick though – did I miss out on something wonderful???
Not sure where the LYL for this week is but here is my delicious chicken! As good as advertised:):
We ate like kings the night I prepared this chicken.
Just in case Laurie got sidelined this morning, I’ll leave this week’s link here for now: http://soupaddict.wordpress.com/2010/11/19/pumpkin-gorgonzola-flans/
Leaving it here for now, will relink when this week’s link is up.
I made the semolina cake this week. It was amazing.
A wonderful recipe! Loved the slice of bread idea, it was a wonderful treat for the cook.
Love from Sweet Almond Tree!
