I used to have a wordpress account that generated more spam than hormel so I embedded it on my front page on my new blog. It still doesn’t link to it for the same reason. I’m thinking of trying to generate a link on the actual page, but I haven’t gotten around to it. Sorry. This will just put it at the top of the list for me.

It was pommes dauphinois at my house. I made the potato gratin to accompany the roasted chicken. It was a lovely meal. I loved the potatoes but think I would strain the cream next time. The garlic seemed over-powering to me. Of course, I had huge cloves…that just may have made the difference. One should use a reasonable size next time!! It was the cook’s choices, not the recipe!

I complement myself on making an exquisite potato gratin which I am sooooooo happy Dorie has shared! I need a great recipe, as “Potato Gratin” ,using whatever recipe I choose, is my assigned dish to bring to a large neighborhood ladies’ holiday dinner next week. I was feeling a bit slighted that I was assigned such a plain dish, but, not anymore! Thank you Dorie. This dish is simple, but anything but plain! Delish!!!

Hihi! I made the lazy chicken. I’m seriously in love with this– we usually roast a chicken once a week (just cover it in salt and herbs and stick it in the oven), but the addition of the bread made it just magical.

I have brought in Dessert to the party!!
The caramel topped semolina is absolutely gorgeous, loved it!!
I lived up to the name coz i actually used semolina in the cake, we dont find Farina and cream of wheat here so semolina it was and it worked beautiful!

Though i halved the recipe {big mistake, it was over in no time}, i actually made 1.5 amount of caramel!

    Loved it!!

I absolutely love how easy and beautiful Dorie’s recipe for Pumpkin-Gorgonzola is. They are a masterpiece, and taste absolutely divine. Wonderful with toasted walnut sourdough for lunch!

I sprinkled some gorgonzola at the bottom of my ramekin as well, and grated fresh nutmeg to the pumpkin mixture. Made a batch of spiced walnuts for the topping. Wonderful recipe and makes for beautiful photos as they’re so pretty!!

Bienvenue! Holy crap was this week a killer challenge for me! I really thought my french obsession would carry me through but dead chicken really freaks me out!

So this week I made Roast Chicken Pour Les Paresseux. I have to say it was the first time since I was a kid where I just wanted to stand back and point at my creation and say “I did that!”

    So here it is: http://frenchwhisk.blogspot.com/2010/11/roast-chicken-pour-les-paresseux-pg-200.html
