Welcome 2011! What a wonderful group of recipes to get us through January, which is often a very dreary month here in Pittsburgh. I hope you will all cook along with me.
January 7, 2010- paris mushroom soup (page 72)
January 14, 2010- gnocchi a la parisienne (page 374)
January 21, 2010- michel rostang’s double chocolate mousse cake (page 446)
January 28, 2010- chicken b’stilla (page 222)

Just made the Paris Mushroom soup yesterday for lunch. We were out of onions so used Leeks instead. Oh my stars was it good!
my boyfriend is waiting eagerly for the b’stilla. and, the cake.
Yay! Thanks for posting these.
Looking forward to making the mushroom soup for the 2nd time and fixing my original errors (I’ll have all white mushrooms, and use my regular blender). I’m sure my guests will enjoy it!
Oh, great! I’m really bad when there’s not a definite schedule (with the dates assigned to specific dishes!)… Can’t wait to try the mushroom soup this week! :)
me too!
I have the ingredients for the mushroom soup, and I can’t wait to make it. Already made the b’stilla — my wife pronounced it her new favorite dish!
I was hoping the soup would be this week’s recipe – and I really can’t wait for the B’Stilla!
Looking forward to the January recipes. The Mushroom soup looks wonderful and comforting. Can’t wait to try it!
Hooray! I have a boatload of mushrooms in my fridge that are crying out to be used … may just make the mushroom soup for lunch today as I de-Christmas the house …
I am going to the store today to buy mushrooms…I can’t wait to do January’s recipes..everyone of them is a winner…
I am looking forward to this months’ recipes. Mushroom soup is perfect for this week but secretly, I am counting the days to make the chocolate cake!
Yip I was hopeless with the freeform method of choosing….as much as it made sense. Unfortunately I live in the part of the world where temperatures are HOT so some of the wintery diishes I just can’t bring myself to make in the heat. I will be making the Chicken and cake though…and maybe the gnocchi too but soup when your hot from the heat anyway???
Sorry it’s not Friday..I am a little behind on this..
This was so good. Way better then canned. I am a soup person, so I am always looking for good soup recipes.

I have been the world’s largest slacker and it has been FOREVER since I’ve been cooking along with the group- New Year’s Res= stay on top of FFWD. It has been a minor struggle with my family who are not adventurous eaters and with my lactose-intolerance discovery, but I’m hoping I can hop back on the wagon and do my best to adjust the recipes to make everyone in my house happy. I think it will be fun to work on some variations! Another New Year’s Res= comment on more of my fellow FFWD’ers blogs! :)
