    I just ate my left-overs for lunch, too! They might have been even better than the night I made my Garlicky Crumb-Coated Broccoli! I used extra lemon zest- I love the pairing of lemon with broccoli :)

    I used broccoli leaves, so it was more crumb-dusted than crumb-coated. Those breadcrumbs were AWESOME!

    This was good….and I don’t even really like broccoli! I will say though that I don’t understand why Dorie doesn’t ever mention using the microwave. It’s such an essential (and widely used!) tool in the american kitchen! I realize that not every french kitchen may have one (at least they didn’t when I lived there…but that’s dating myself!) but this cookbook is not written in french, so I say let’s steam the broccoli in the microwave – it saves nutrients and time!!

    I loved this one! I used whole wheat bread crumbs from a day old loaf, but it was still so good. So simple, too! Definitely a new standard.

    The broccoli was scrumptious & steaming it made it come out nice & fresh; I might decrease the amount of crumbs a bit, but the lemon, garlic & mint was delicious!
