Haven’t done this in so long I’ve kind of forgotten how! Loved this salad.

We thought it was a nice combination that we might have not have other wise tried. We took Dorie’s recommendation & served bread alongside (we included that recipe). Will add to my summer salad list!

Lovely combination! I roasted the strawberries and used burrata.

Now that’s a thought. The roasting. What was the taste difference. Mary

Here’s my link and then off on vacation for a week of quiet & the ocean. Woo hoo!
Happy summer everyone.
Loved this – not sure why I thought there was mint in it but it totally worked!

Next Friday I will be posting from PARIS!! Wahoo!
Posting from Paris? You’re one lucky girl!
Bon Voyage. Bonne Chance. Voyage sans risque. Mary
Thanks to the French Fridays project, I tried a recipe that, left to my own devices, I would have thumbed right by, otherwise

I had an issue in the kitchen this week. His name is Dennis. Salad was tasty though! http://www.apronthyme.blogspot.com
We’re at the peak of strawberry season, so this was perfect. I used burrata which made this salad sing!

Loved the salad – have made it twice more this week!

No strawberries as they’re out of season. So this became a TMB & Dragonfruit salad instead! Loved it ;-).

I nearly forgot to do this and scrambled to throw it together for breakfast this morning. I’m glad it was a recipe that worked for breakfast!

I didn’t stray far from the original recipe though I plated it a bit more restaurant-style. Very photogenic dish for sure.

Pink Peppercorns! What a revelation!
http://frenchwhisk.blogspot.com/2011/06/french-fridays-mozzarella-tomato-and.html
Allison – I didn’t purchase Pink Peppercorns – My Bad. Did it actually make a
difference in taste or just presentation? Mary
Huge difference! they perked up the mozzarella in such an expected way. They are my favorite thing of the week for certain!
Perfect!

This salad is one of my favorites sans the fruit. Regardless it was fun to make and the kids just love anything on a stick!

Caprese Salad is a favorite of mine … adding strawberries lent a pleasant surprise. http://tammycirceo.typepad.com/tammy_circeo_musings_on_l/2011/06/french-fridays-with-dorie-mozzarella-tomato-and-strawberry-salad.html

Yummy! I made mine portable…on a stick! :)
At the end of the strawberry season here in NY – this salad was absolutely delicious. http://saffronandhoney.com/2011/06/24/strawberry-tomato-and-bocchini-salad/
made once following recipe exactly – delicious. made again using spirella (mozzarella cheese wrapped around proscuitto with basil) and it was also great. will use often this summer.
Wow – the spirella sounds perfect for this!
I live in a very rural area so sometimes i have to go with what is in the frig…this time spirella was a great substitute glad you liked the idea.
Delicious and colorful summer salad – loved the strawberry twist on a regular Caprese salad. Also motivated me to make fresh mozzarella from scratch!

I wish I could have found burrata! But good even with the cheapo fresh mozzarella!
http://heathercellini.com/blog/2011/06/24/strawberry-tomato-and-mozzarella-salad/
Absolutely loved the combination of seasonal berries and tomatoes! I used bufala and freshly-picked strawberries (which I also used in lots of other ways, too).
http://athomeandawaywithme.wordpress.com/2011/06/24/strawberry-bonanza/
I took a mozzarella making class tonight so this was the perfect thing to do with the cheese that we made

HELLO FRIENDS! I’ve been MIA while my family has been moving, but I’m excited to get back in the groove around here. I tasted this week’s recipe, but didn’t actually make it myself. I did make a buttermilk blackberry cake last night that I highly recommend and I posted my results for my post today.

oops … this isn’t for today … I’ll try again!
