I have been looking forward to this one since FFwD started, and it did not disappoint!

Now off to Cincinnati to spend some long over due quality time with my “big” brother :-) Have a great weekend all…

I wish I was brave enough to try this in a jar. My fish was not-so-fresh, though, and that was all the excuse I needed to follow the roasted bonne idee, which was a disaster. Can’t wait to see everyone else’s!

Had a great time with this! I might even make some up as gifts for friends in the future!

I got by with a little help from my good friend Adam. :-)

I love this simple yet beautifully flavored salmon appetizer :) I used rosemary instead of thymes and it turned out great :)

A beautiful recipe. Really loved it.

My husband loved it and I was pleasantly surprised…

The thought of making this was daunting, but surprisingly everyone enjoyed it and I was left speechless!

This was delicious! And even though I wish I had jars available to use, it was still tasty as “salmon in a red ceramic cup”..

  13. StephIrey August 12, 2011 at 11:24 AM #

I made it, but couldn’t try it! What a wimp. I did try something else that was just as adventurous (at least for me).

I loved all your comments because mine is still “in the process”. Planning on a wonderful Sunday brunch with cycling friends.

Without a doubt, one of my favorites from this book! Currently visiting the in-laws at the Jersey Shore and enjoying the sunshine. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Does anyone know if this keeps longer than three days? I jarred mine on Sunday and still have quite a bit left. Wanted to share it with my sisters, but don’t want to kill them. It seems like the olive oil would preserve it for awhile. Any thoughts?

Ummm…this one is kind of a work in progress, since I didn’t plan properly! But I’ll be updating it tomorrow.

My first week at FFwD… interesting recipe. Wish I could have gotten pictures of all my prep work. Next week for sure!!

I’m a French Fridays with Dorie Failure! I promise that after the school year starts and I get my gorgeous son moved into his apartment for college, that I will be a bit more attentive to my own life! :) Isn’t that how it is?

My friend felt that presentation-wise, it wouldn’t work but he ate it all up as leftovers for a while. I read that Lizzy also kept her for a few days, so it seems like you should be fine.

Fish in a Jar? This was a first for me. Love reading all the comments…

Hi all, This was an easy receipe, but it took a number of days to get it together. After all it was done, I don’t like the salmon as much as I like the potatoes.

  24. thesavourypage August 15, 2011 at 9:38 PM #

Overcame the fear but didn’t totally love it.

  25. onewetfoot August 19, 2011 at 12:59 AM #

Nearly a week late, but posted: Love the bonne idée version of the salmon and I also think I’ve found a new favourite potato salad.

So late with this! Ahhhh! Cross your fingers for me I’ll get this week’s done before saturday!
