Happy Friday!
I am getting the sense there are going to be two camps on this one. Team anchovy & team anti-anchovy :-)
Have a great weekend.
Oh, and Happy Birthday Dorie! (A few days early)
I’m not sure if we’d be on team anchovy, but I liked the general idea! http://www.franklyentertaining.com/2011/10/21/ffwd-pissaladiere/
Had to changes the toppings a bit for my taste, but I plan on making the original version when my anchovy-loving sister heads to Chicago!

Have a great Friday, everyone!

A few anchovies never hurt anyone!

Things on top of dough = I love.

Not in team anchovy but loved my version of this!
And it would help if I left the link!

I am on team anchovy. I went the simple route on the crust and wish I hadn’t but loved the topping. Happy French Friday everyone!

I used dried anchovies and it was great for the caramelized onions. A keeper for sure. Love the base …crunchy at the edges and soft on the inside ! Topping is a winner ! I love it and shall make this again :) Have a great weekend everyone!

I’m on team anchovy but had to find impostors as I didn’t have any! No olives, either… but plenty of onions!
http://foodivakitchen.blogspot.com/2011/10/french-fridays-with-dorie-pissaladiere.html?m=1
Still on the fence about this one. The bread/crust was a little too bland for my taste. But yeah, go team anchovy!

I am walking a fine line on this one. I KNOW I should love this tart because I
love all things French but I just am not a Team Anchovy-Girl. I have been
gone the past month, two weeks in France and six other countries after that.
So I am happy to be home and cooking again. I missed cooking with Dorie
and I missed you all.

Your pissaladiere is lovely – but I thought you should know that even though I keep putting in the password, it won’t let me leave a comment on your blog. : (
I couldn’t leave a comment either – but I love both the apple tart & your pissaladiere!
I’m not on team anchovoy, but pro onions. They tasted well. Would love to try the recipe during a hot summer day though.

The car is packed and we are heading off. Have a great weekend everyone!

Finally catching up ! I am posting two of Nana’s French Friday adventures and updates from my playing hooky in San Francisco. And for the record, I am on team non-anchovy, while Nana on team anchovy :) Great to be back !!

anchovoy instead of anchovy, sometimes the computer automatic spelling corrector and myself do have a struggle.
I may serve this for our Pirate-themed Halloween Party, and rename it Pirate Breath Pizza! Liked the taste of the anchovies, except in the bite where they criss-crossed – a bit too salty there ;-)

after a wrong turn or two…
http://dulceshome.com/2011/10/21/ffwd-pissaladiere/
and since this was how I got sidetracked – another Dorie recipe as well
http://dulceshome.com/2011/10/21/beatrixs-red-kuri-soup-an-around-my-french-table-recipe/
hint: check out the soup recipe – it was terrific, and will definitely be on my menus again in the upcoming months
Here’s mine: http://www.jemangelaville.com/2011/10/21/ffwd-pissaladiere/
I “adapted” quite a bit but it was still very good!
A double thumbs up for this one…minus the anchovies!
thought this was pretty good!

Love this … I’ve made it for a few years now and was happy to try Dorie’s recipe.
http://tammycirceo.typepad.com/tammy_circeo_musings_on_l/2011/10/french-fridays-with-dorie-pissaladiere.html
I’m also not a big fan of anchovies, but liked the idea of the recipe.

I had a fun day in Kris’ Pizzeria..the Pissaladiere, my version, was enjoyed!
http://misskriskitchen.blogspot.com/2011/10/french-froday-with-dorie-pissaladiere.html
I don’t do anchovies, but I came up with a very family-friendly variation to this week’s assignment. :)

The great Bait Debate raged in our house – Loved this!

Sorry I missed the last two weeks, and am now catching up. Can’t wait to read everyone’s posts from the past two weeks.
We took a little excursion – you can read about it at:

Happy French Friday!
I didn’t mind the anchovies mixed in with the onions, but I could have done without the extra anchovies added on top:
http://thingsfromscratch.wordpress.com/2011/10/21/pissaladiere/
This was an experience. The dish grew on us, to where we actually craved it this morning!

Liked the base, but not such a fan of the topping:

No anchovies for me…
http://robinsrecipebook.blogspot.com/2011/10/ffwd-pissaladiere.html
Anchovies in the topping, but not on top. And I’m curious to see how all the dough makers did since I went with another option. http://wp.me/p1Juyy-4D
I meant to post comment here and not as a reply to Robin, but oh well, its Friday! SO happy to have some time to read everyone’s entries! “Anchovies in the topping, but not on top. And I’m curious to see how all the dough makers did since I went with another option.” http://wp.me/p1Juyy-4D

I’m sorry I posted so late. Can’t wait to have time to look at everyone else’s tomorrow.

Better late than never, right? This turned into a big disaster, so in my case, it may have been better never. I’ll try it again some other time!
http://cookbookimmersionproject.blogspot.com/2011/10/ffwd-pissaladiere.html
loved this. had Sicilian anchovies on hand and it was delicious:) http://www.cakeduchess.com/2011/10/pissaladiere-french-fridays-with-dorie.html
Never understood what people don’t like about anchovies. I love the flavor as does my daughter. We didn’t like the extra on top, as others stated. Too salty! Can’t wait to take a look and see how all your crusts turned out. Liked the flavor and texture, but questioning how authentic mine was.

I’m not a huge anchovy fan, but I really enjoyed this: http://onewetfoot.com/2011/10/21/ffwd-pissaladiere/
Feels good to be on the winning side again!

Cooking this today for Sat. dinner; wondering when we will select our Nov. recipes.
Cheers, doristas-have a marvey weekend!
Made this; just used the anchovy as a topping; still found it too salty; I also added a few tomato slices & a touch of parm. The crust was easy, but I am a bread maker.
I need to make that crust again really really soon. Loved it!
http://diethood.com/2011/10/23/french-fridays-dorie-pissaladiere/
Loved it. And have definitely shifted into the yay anchovy camp!
http://thesavourypage.com/2011/10/23/ffwd-pissaladiere/
Loved this minus the whole anchovies!
http://hadennews.blogspot.com/2011/10/pissaladier-ffwd.html
Better late than never! My salutes to all who faced up to their fears and made this as written!

Our vote was 50/50 pro- and anti-anchovy. See my “piece-a-work”:
