A lovely winter meal.
Juicy and delicious! Though I’m curious to see if anyone actually used armagnac for this dish. I used cognac and it was great.

We loved this delicious one-pot dish, which we made with brandy. We especially loved how the house smelled while it was cooking!

I seem to be having issues today with my browser and can’t seem to leave a comment on your page. Just wanted to say….
I think you’re the first one I’ve seen who used actual armagnac! I used cognac and it was delicious. A perfect meal. Possibly more perfect if I had spent the night with Brad and George, but you know, they just don’t stop by nearly enough anymore:-)
Loved it, tho I didn’t get any sauce. Will just have to try it again!

Tasted wonderful…and, yes, I used Armagnac :) Mine could have used a tanning bed, though~
http://thatskinnychickcanbake.blogspot.com/2012/01/m-jacques-armagnac-chicken.html
Very funny, tanning beds for roast chickens, I wonder if there’s a market for that???
http://lyabroudy.blogspot.com/2012/01/m-jacques-armagnac-chicken-french.html
Very tasty, even without Armagnac.
We loved this dish!

This dish did not come easy for me but adding chestnuts is a GREAT idea.
http://wscwong.typepad.com/dessert_by_candy/2012/01/say-no-to-pale-chicken.html
This was one of the earlier recipes I made from the book…I used Calvados the first time as that was what I had in the house, but have since made it numerous times with the Armagnac…we adore this dish…the aroma alone is enough to make you a convert. My chicken browned nicely…of course not as brown as a chicken roasted in an open pan…but brown enough…the chicken is melt in your mouth tender and the pan juices….amazing!

Hi- I tried to leave you a comment on your post but it does not show up. Not sure if it is a “user error” on my part or perhaps it is getting hit by your spam filter for the blog ? Happy FF !
Thank you for trying. I’m assuming since there is a gray box around my link and your comment it was meant for me. I got a lovely comment from Nana but haven’t seen one from you. I don’t know if there is a spam filter but I’ll check.
I have been “lurking” as my children say for a couple of weeks and have really enjoyed yours and Nana’s blog entries. What a great idea to do it together and stay connected week to week.
Thanks for the sweet comment and yes, I was trying to leave a comment on my own-did not even realize Nana left a comment (but am glad she did :) I tried again this evening and again got the error message that a “Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!” No clue but I will try to figure it out for next week :)
I decided to do a make-up recipe this week instead of the chicken … I made the creme brulee! YUM!!!! Already have another version in the fridge!

This is so late that I can’t really say that I was late to the party – it’s more like imagining I was there…
