It is cold, rainy and dreary here in Pittsburgh today. I am sure this dish would warm us right up.

Definitely a recipe we are going to make more.

A nice change from your average boiled potatoes:

  3. tricia January 26, 2012 at 8:23 PM #

Well, at least we both agreed. :)

Here’s mine. You probably have to like boiled potatoes? ;-)

These were great, the whole family liked them. I used a mixture of baby purple potatoes, yukon golds, and yukon rose potatoes.

Can’t get your site to accept my comment – but I totally agree – love, love that first photo. Glad you enjoyed these. They look terrific.

    Very simple and remarkably good.

Love this flavorful and citrus-y braised potatoes :)

Perfect cold weather side-dish, but any time is a good time for potatoes!

  9. crumblyplum January 27, 2012 at 1:03 AM #

These were yummy :-) They work pretty well in Summer too – I see most of you are in Winter, but down here in sunny South Africa it’s pretty hot and they were still great!

These were delicious! Great with Yukon gold potatoes.

  11. Miss Kris Kitchen January 27, 2012 at 1:13 AM #

Delicious…lots of flavor without lots of fat. They were also great for breakfast this morning.

This is a great way to jazz up boiled potatoes.

  13. candygirl January 27, 2012 at 6:32 AM #

One of my favorite AMFT recipes so far!

  14. Adriana January 27, 2012 at 6:34 AM #

I’ve made them twice, but I’m still not crazy about these potatoes.

  15. Elaine January 27, 2012 at 7:58 AM #

I made the fennel and it is a great side.

  16. Pachecopatty January 27, 2012 at 8:55 AM #

We loved these and they were better the next day!

  17. anderlani1 January 27, 2012 at 9:53 AM #

I need to make these more often. Yum. Things are insane around here right now, so I apologize if I don’t get around to checking out everyone’s post.

  18. AmyA January 27, 2012 at 10:49 AM #

These sure make the kitchen smell delicious!

It is sunny here, and it even feels deceptively spring like. Here’s my story:

Loved these. Delicious. But, Doristas, they are even better hashbrowns. And, in a frittata, yum. That extra flavor just gives them a nice bonus-kick.

A very easy and good side dish! Can’t wait to try them tomorrow after they have been soaking in the yummy broth for a day!

  22. KarenP January 27, 2012 at 3:16 PM #

Easy and delicious. I really liked these!

Loved this – have made it multiple times, and also tried the Spice Glazed Carrots this week – delicous!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend – can’t wait to read what everyone did with the potatoes!

Some of you may remember my airplane meal from last year. Here’s the sequel, at last. TV Dinner, Dessert By Candy’s Way! Yes, the potatoes AND broth both played key roles.

  25. mmmisformommy January 27, 2012 at 6:11 PM #

My kitchen smelled fabulous, but the end result was not as exciting :(

  26. onewetfoot January 27, 2012 at 8:32 PM #

I’ve made these a number of times now and quite like them.

  27. pamkaren January 27, 2012 at 8:49 PM #

Well, I liked them but didn’t love them. But they do make a nice side vegetable option to pick from every now and then.

  28. andrealynn05 January 27, 2012 at 9:19 PM #

I didn’t expect to like these as much as I did, and was surprised at how flavorful the potatoes turned out.

Here is my link – of course a day late!

Huh. I missed this link on Friday. Here is my post

    Nothing special….

  31. Miss Blossom January 28, 2012 at 4:06 PM #

My first French Friday recipe! The potatoes were a hit, though I prefer roasted :) I also did Chicken for Les Paresseux as a catch up recipe. The vegetarian roasts her first chicken!

I’ve been having problems posting comments lately – just know I’ve been loving reading everyone’s posts.

I’m late. I’m late for a very important date. Sorry everyone I sort of over complicated a very easy recipe. I have a very poor history making anything boiled so I have to do something to keep myself focused on what I’m doing. There have been many, many burned pans as evidence of my difficulty. This was good just not very interesting.

  34. ChefLeann January 29, 2012 at 12:23 AM #

cooked these yesterday but just getting it posted… these were delicious!

  35. Robin January 29, 2012 at 6:22 AM #

This one was a hit at our house. The Feb recipes sound really good ;)

  36. Picadillo January 29, 2012 at 12:59 PM #

Sorry for posting so late. This is a great addition to any meal and so quick!!

  37. ApronThyme January 29, 2012 at 7:34 PM #

Made this one last summer with little spuds. This time I cut up the Yukon Golds- liked it much better. YUM! Had it with another roasted Yard Bird. Delicious meal!
